    Wonderful people, Best BBQ in Jax,
    100% Wood Smoked at his location!
    Family Owned and Operated
    They have recently added Fresh Seafood as well.
    Friday's they have a baby back rib special
    but you have to get there early before they run out!

    Food was average. I tried both the chicken and the pork. Thought it would be more of a pulled chicken or pork place but the chicken seemed to be a pressed chicken breast and the pork was chopped up. Flavor was ok and the sauces on the table did not wow me.   The Cole slaw and Beans were average. Pies are pre-made.

    Want no frills, good barbecue? This is your place! Hubs and I visited on a Saturday during lunch - not very busy when we arrived, but when we left the pace picked up. Hubs ordered the ribs and chicken special, I had a barbecue pork sandwich plate. We sampled each other's meals and everything was delicious!

    I got fries and baked beans with my sandwich - the baked beans are straight from heaven! They were sweet, rich, and so good! The fries were crispy, which I like. You have the option of getting a sandwich on a bun or toast. I like that. I got toast, and the bread was grilled and buttered to perfection. The pork was nice and tender, and add some of the sweet sauce and you're good to go! My husband raved about his meal. He loves the mustard sauce available - I typically like mustard sauce, but their version is too thin and a little spicy for me.

    This was my first visit, his second. His first visit was one week ago and he was itching to return. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying one of the desserts (sweet potato pie, pecan pie, chocolate mousse pie, and carrot cake were available on our visit).

    Our waitress was friendly, the kitchen staff was friendly, and the overall experience was great. Just good barbecue in a casual, no frills atmosphere.

    I can't say enough great things about this place. Not only are the owners always there and awesome to talk to but their BBQ is on point! One of the best mustard based sauces I've ever tasted and the corn nuggets are out of this world (Beats Bonos by 100 miles!) Pulled Pork is always a winner and my husband is very fond of the sloppy freddy. I love living across the street and ordering dinner. Order ahead and pick up from their outside window or enjoy a bbq style diner atmosphere inside. Perfect stop for lunch.
